'imported a sti v-ltd on a 1996, but it kept cutting out. found out that it was the high performance chip on the ecu, took it off and soldered the old bypass resistor on the ecu back and the car was running beautiful. now about 2 weeks l8r, was giving the car a real hammering (as its still not registered...no plates ) and the 'check engine light came on' and now when i put my foot down, after around 4000rpm the car jerk's and shudders??? help pleaaaaaassssssse

Guess this is another scoob then Reset the ecu, and if it starts flashing again Have a check here and see what fault code is flashing up. Could be a number of things maybe the maf if the cel light is on.

lol, yeh it is, but you see with this sti, it revs fine all the way to 7500rpm when idle and out of gear, but when in gear and rolling it shudders at around 4000rpm, if the limp mode is on then it wouldnt rev past 4500-5000rpm even when idle. other scoob gone back to them cowboys to fix up the wrx today lol, cheers
