Unhappy

Hi all

This might be a bit cheeky but... I'm not really advertising my car (at the moment) but I'm wondering how many people on here would actually be interested in it, given the state of the market at the mo.

I'm thinking about asking £16000 for a 99 STi Type R with Leda B, Brembo, SS wheels and full exhaust system and private plate thrown in. It's done 35000 miles (eek) and has always been serviced in accordance with the schedule.

What do you guys think, is this about right?

Cheers

Question

 Now let's get this right, you want us to hand over £16000 for a 99 typeR with some mods. What's the colour, the rare sonic brown or shocking pink .There must be a catch, does the mother-in-law come with it?
If you do decide to sell, my advice is wear
chainmail gauntlets, cause you'll get your
hand's bitten off!
Good luck

Cool - so it's not all necessarily doom and gloom then. Ok, maybe I'll put an ad in the For Sale section.

PS. No catch - I just want rid of it, soon!

I have a friend who might be interested, could you mail me a picture and give precise details of the model type and colour etc.

Thanks

Mike

I've put an ad in the For Sale section and I'll send you a picture. I haven't got a picture of the car with the indicators on it but you'll get the general idea. It was taken some ago but if you really want, I'll try and get a more up to date one.

Cheers

Richard

Guys
Having seen the rave reviews of the MY2001 in Auto Express and Autocar today (yes I know what people think of them on this BBS but people read them and are influenced by them) then residuals are going to take a further dive on the old shape very soon.

I have to say the 2001 is growing on me to the point where the old car (mine!!) looks very dated already.

I din't care, because I bought ours in July knowing full well the new one was coming out and I will get whatever I get for it when I sell it (which incidentally will probably be for a Focus Cosworth if spec/price/looks are OK).

That's the inevitable byproduct of driving down the price of new cars plus oversupply in car manufacturing!!
