I thought it was 999 ???
Doing my best to cope with really low staff levels and working like a ****, I noticed a firedoor to the back of my work open. I work nights as the duty manager in ASDA and thats not normally a great sign.
Phone in pocket, 999, police, right on way secure area.
I got all the colleagues to one place to keep them safe and went on my way looking for the lovely person trying to steal from me.
About 30 minutes later I concluded no one was in the store and told everyone to go back to work.. all safe.
2 hours and I **** you not, I get a phone call, Hi this is the police are you ok!
er.. yeah thanks, I replied, no point sending anyone now !
I thought 999 was for emergencys? Like danger?
Glad I didnt get stabbed

why didn't you tell them about your two for one offers. they may have got to you a little sooner! lol.
at least things turned out for the better m8. and there was no intruder.
i used to work at a small garage some years back. we got broke into one night. got a phone call from the boys in blue. your alarms going off can you come and turn it off please they say. so my boss gets to the garage opens the doors where the alarm is to deactivate it and the intruder is in there with the alarm. he didnt get away either. made my boss jump a little though.
at least things turned out for the better m8. and there was no intruder.

The speedy police hey
I heard or read somewhere this story/joke about a guy who was awoken in the middle of the night with a noise coming from his shed at the bottom of the garden.
Two blokes were stealing his stuff from the shed, he phoned the police and explained the situation but the police said they would be half and hr as it wasnt a priority and they were very busy. 2 minutes later he phoned the police again and said
" dont bother coming round i have shot them both"
60 secs later 3 police cars arrive, run round the side of the house and actually catch the 2 blokes red-handed.
The policemen turned and said to the fella "I thought you said you had shot them both?"
to which he replied
"I thought you said you were too busy"

Just wait for the guy to do a runner, then phone the police with the reg ofhis getaway car and tell them your CCTV shows them doing over 40mph. They'll be round straight away.
