Default sti owners..

Have you ever gone to select 4th gear and stuck her into 2ND by mistake. Did this today and come to a very quick halt much to the amusement of everyone on the dual carriageway

I presume you didnt do this at very high revs...... valves dont like bouncing you know!

no but gone from 4th to 3rd looking for 5th

I've done 5th to 4th when looking for 6th . That's when I first got it. And his is my first car to have 6 gears.

Done it twice whilst giving car bit stick. Looking for fourth and hit second!!! The six speed box is excellent but can catch u out v occasionally!!!

Gone from 6th to 5th, thinking I was in 4th.
Done that many a time now. Still can't get used to so short ratio's

getting nailed by a 60 seater coach with a load of school girls on board, me in 3rd gear at traffic lights...not realising of course...waves from girlies bless...erm and there he goes....zzzzz.zzzz...zzzz and coach does me grrrr...had to then speed off in 'mucho embarrissimo' mode

I often get in the wrong gear on my mountain bike, usually when I pedal up a hill then free wheel down and try to pedal as I begin to lose speed. This results in my legs pedalling at 4million rpm with an incredible amount of silliness...
In my car though? No

maybe the first few days of ownership, but you soon get use to your car and it hasn't happened to me again over the past 10 months
