whats that red thing to the very left of engine pic ?

i take it the early wrx doesnt have ABS ?

Is the dump valve the silver thingnext to the turbo vent/air intake/cooler vent bit ?

also,how do i know if/where the turbo timer is ?

Red thing on left of pic is a remote oil filter (part of the oil cooler kit)
Red thing on the right looks like a horn.
Silver thing is a dump valve

Turbo timer is on the dash somewhere out of shot

I asked how e got hold of it,he said,
"I have source that gets most of the cars from main dealers."

Huh,he said it wasnt bought at auction and doesnt have the auction sheet,but if its fresh import,shouldnt it have one never the less ?!?!?!?

It looks really tidy. Best thing to do is to go and look at it and then perhaps bid/buy outside of the auction. I can't see it making £4500 to be honest.

Make him an offer if you really like, the worst he can do is say no!
