Thumbs up Looking at buying MY03 STi Type UK PPP - Price?

Hi Peeps,

as per title, looking at coming back to a scooby after a year in a 993.. I am being offered a deal which puts the Impreza in at about 14k.. Its a totally standard car (apart for PPP) with 44k on the clock. FSH etc etc.

What do you think? Any advice appreciated..

Can I be cheeky and ask what marque of dealer that was with? If I could p/x my 53 STI with 25k on the clock for £15k then that would be very helpful...

would say 14k is about right, paid £14700 for my STI PPP (03) plate back in October from a private seller. has some other mods, though i.e. Prodrive 18" alloys , Defi Gauges etc. Watch out for when warranty expires and first MOT due. knocking rear shocks are a common fault, but covered under warranty

I changed it for a new 06 Sti with PPP and PD Springs. I was offered £14500 from 2 other subaru dealers but I went with the third who offered £15k plus free mats and flaps.

Although looking at the final paperwork it was actually circa £13.5k p'ex and £1500 discount.

Interested in your reasons for going from a 993 to an Sti, practicalities or performance?

I see me staying with Scoobs for a while longer yet, but would dearly love a 993 to keep it company.

Hi mate.. Well I went from this

http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=413528

to this

http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=415947

because I always wanted a Porsche 993.. I managed to get a good p/x deal which meant my Type R was worth about 13k in the deal..

Reason why I would like to come back.. Both Practicality being a dad of two, although wife has a shougun ;-) and most definatley performance, miss the power delivery, FYI the porsche is not a Turbo and also a Tiptronic.. finally I generally would like a modern car again..

IMHO - The Porsche (993) is and always will be a classic..

Very nice, know what you mean about the modern car.
I'd have a manual wide-bodied C4S, or possibly a Turbo. I'd bring it out at the weekend, clean, polish and probably just stare at it for a few hours

Yes Allan.. most deinatley.. I will come back to one oneday, just let the kids get big enough to sit in the 2x2 seats in the back without child seats.. then maybe.. and it will have to be a Manual/Turbo!

Do it m8. Great cars these my 03 has done 25k which is very low, but 44k is nothing.
PPP is a very good move as well.

Top cars and a good price used.
