Default Dead Scooby - waiting for Subaru Assist

Tried to go to w*rk this morning. Pressed button to open up car, fine, put keys in ignition, all lit up, fine, then nothing. Not a thing, just a click.

Sounds like your battery hasnt got enough juice to fire the starter motor.. Did you leave the interior light on or anything else?

Default Dodgy battery

The same thing happened to me. See:
https://www.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-general-1/515695-battery-life-on-a-newage.html

Called local garage and no problems for battery to be replaced.

That's interesting, because I have a Tracker. What's this about a battery drain

It should be, they didn't even question me when i said it was flat. The woman mentioned something about the tracker, so that could be your downfall.

They didn't have any in stock, so gave it a charge, which reminds me i should chase them about that.

Coicidence or not. After the charge i've left the fan on #1, like normal and it's been fine since.

He's charged it up Gaz. And he said the same as you about the tracker
How long will it last, ie, is it urgent to get the new battery fitted or will it be ok for a few days. W*rk commitments make it difficult to get to the garage until Friday

Had mine changed under warranty, had Subaru assit out to start mine and he gave the story about keeping side lights on amd the fan running on number 1 to keep the alternator charging the battery but within 3 days of normal trips back and forward to work etc i was getting the alarm sounding when it was trying to start again. Went up to my local Subaru garage and they swapped the battery there and then. "No charge sir, we have quite a few of these doing this" etc etc

Mine has been about a week and a half now, no problems. But i don't have a tracker (Type EU), so i don't know what the drain on that would be. Just keep your fan on #1 and your fingers crossed.

I had to get the jump leads to it, as no Subaru Assist (again cus Type EU). But no problems what so ever about getting it done under warranty, nor the struts knocking.

iirc the battery drain only relates to some Trackstar from RAC and NOT the Tracker.
I have a certain one on my car with no problems.
And if you did have a Trackstar, there is an update out to cure it isnt there? Again iirc.
I am sure i read that on here somewhere, LOL. Now where was it.............
