if its hitting more than 1 bar as my98 are limited to 1 bar, well fuel cut you will need a fuel cut defender fitting just dont go crazy with boost though!! safe is 1.2 bar anymore and it will need mapping, i have for sale a mbc (manual boost controller) but you really need the fcd 1st
hope this helps gerry.

ps dont be winding actuator up have you anything to monitor engine knocklink lambda link egt gauge boost gauge etc???

Does he have a boost gauge?
Has he "adjusted" the actuator arm?
0.2 of a second isn't that much to worry about, you can loose that in a launch or just one gearchange.....

On standard ECU, my MY98 used to hit 1.1 bar. Using an electric boost controller, you can safely hit 1.2 bar. I took mine to 1.3 bar before hitting fuel cut. To be fair, increasing the boost any higher on standard turbo will not benefit. As Scoobygez recommends, get some engine monitoring tools. At least get a boost gauge and knocklink.
