Question 03 WRX PPP for an 53 STI

I was wondering if it was the right decision to PX my WRX PPP for an STI.
The STI is Standard and mine has PPP fitted. The guy will give me 10.5k for mine but wants 14K for his.

A little more details. His car has 18k on the clock compared to my 33k. Both has full scoob service history.

i think you will be dissapointed with the STI with only 265bhp... as a WRX with PPP will be more fun to drive...

you can now get 03 STI for around 12.5-13.5k .. so i think is not worth.. better off selling the wrx and find one cheaper, you might be able to find one with PPP

or put 1.5k on the WRX make it 310/300 like mine...

Thanks for the reply, no-one else has!

BTW I was thinking of getting the STI and putting the TSL333 on it.

How did you spend 1.5K to get 310bhp?

if your car already have PPP then

bigger turbo (i have a VF28) - 300quid ??
UP-pipe - 30quid 2nd hand
STI injectors
STI intercooler - 200quid 2nd hand
Walbro pump - 80
ECUTEK 3 - depends which mapper

will get you around 310-320 depens on boost...

a sti will need extra 20/20 to keep up due to gearing and weight

How does your gearbox cope with 310Bhp in a wrx ( I take it you mean a UK newage WRX?)

with all these mods you have mentioned to upgrade the power is it a requirement to upgrade the braking system, transmission, clutch to reliably run the car and balance the driveability.
also how much has it upped your insurance premium by.

Torque will kill a gearbox, not bhp.

My new age box now has just over 310lb/ft going throught it and i still have a 5 year warranty too (MY06 WRX PPP ). So i think it's not such an issue.

Tony.
