I think I've missed it, was it any good?

If it was, has anyone got a copy in the MK area?

It was fair - the young lady said that it was a good car ... not as brutal as the 'old' one ... more refined as she said!!

I thought it was crap. She didnt go through any of the new features of the car in detail and I didnt really appreciate the abuse she hurled at my present car either.

Hi Floyd
(you haven't got a pink STi badge on your scoob by any chance ??)

I thought she was very unenthusiastic and gave the impression of it being "OK" - nothing really special.
She set the tone of the report by dismissing the style change of the headlamps as Corolla therefore rubbish etc. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder - and may take a while to settle in - or not !!
I wasn't impressed for what its worth.

Cool

I know what she means by brutal.

1st gear trundling along in traffic. Left hand lane filter for my turning. Boot it just outside boost zone, then wham! the car rocketed forward like there was a 40ton weight attached to the front which had just been pushed off a cliff.
Meanwhile I kathud into my seat back. Grinning like an idiot while holding onto the steering wheel with white knuckles.
I love my Scooby.

Fairly fair presentation - in fact I think she must have been reading Scoobynet for some of the coments

Nice trousers though

I think I will have to see it for myself before making my verdict - Motorsport day on Friday anyone??

The rest of the program was a bit up and down. The designers coments were welcome but what was the 'amateur camcorder nerd' supposed to be about???? Looks like he should have stayed on the station with his anorak!

Still better than the ITV effort though!

Chris

Thanks chaps

Doesn't look as if I missed anything special then.

Top Gear seems to be more and more general and 'low level', not catering for us enthusiasts at all.

Stan S - As for the pink STi badge, no, but why do you ask?
