You can fly return to most of Europe with www.ryanair.com for about £15, £30 including taxes.
Friend flew over from Venice, last week, £11 return + taxes.
Flights are from Stansted and some conditions apply. You need to book before Thursday night.
It will cost you more to park at the airport.

Dunno, but I can find out.
I've just booked a week in Lanzarote for us (me, missus, two kids) in January for 690 quid. Well chuffed. I think it's about the same price at this time of year too.

Hmmm
Those are cheap deals
About a 1/50th of the price of a 5* Caribbean Holiday I've just booked for 2 weeks over x-mas and the new year (and that was at a sizeable discount on teletext)
Waiting to be flamed and burned alive for such a horrible post!

I used to work for Airtours, and we started the lateescapes.com site to auction off last minute beds that hadn't been taken (beds meaning hotel occupancy, not physical wooden things).
They are amazingly cheap, especially if you have a look in the "deals for £1" bit. They literally have a reserve set of £1, so whatever they go for above that is coatia.(sp?)
Last week there was a fly-drive to Florida which went for £61 for 2 people!!!

You'll be shopping on QVC next (I just have to have the laser-machined knife set for only £14.95+P&P)
