Just curious if anyone else has had this done. Seems to be rather a messy procedure . My underbonnet area is now filthy with waxoyl all over the suspesnon turrents and the number plates. Its this normal ?

Allan

Call in on your way home and I'll have a look. It can be a messy job.

Regards

Yup i had it done at my last service (1yr) and they say that you should clean it off any area that it shows on (think this means outer panels really) but it is messy and smells funny but not a bad smell if you know what i mean

Allan, I had mine done and it came back spotless.
I was well pleased, the trouble is, the garage where I had it done went and lost it's franchise, bu**er.

had mine done early October, had a problem finding anybody worth noting, one person had a good experience, another using the same garages bad...

Mine was very neat, not too bad in the engine dept. but very clean all over rest of the body. I.e not on number plates, Days didn't have a body shop no more and would send the thing away...si I went to Lancasters in Sevenoaks- bit of a run from Basildon, but worth it, and I waited there...approx 3 hours.

Simplified, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Lancasters for this job to anybody who's interested!

I had mine done at Listers.

No problems at all.

But why have it done at all? All my recent new cars didn't need it.

Are scoobs so badly protected they need it, or is it a revenue generating device by IM and the dealers.
