Default MY06 WRX MPG

Picked my MY06 WRX up a couple of weeks ago. Still running in, only another 550 miles to go.

Last tank fill was 55.3 litres and I'd covered 334 miles. Admittedly the car was stuttering on corners and the incline on the petrol forecourt was interesting.

By my reckoning (334/(55.3/4.55)) gives 27.5mpg near enough.

That was all non-motorway work on the run to work, 15 miles takes 45 mins !!

Anyone got figures for a MY06 WRX with PPP ?

mines doing about 22 tops at 1200 miles. PPP fitting tomorrow.

Trouble is the more power, the more you use it, the more fuel you use!

if you can share your experiences with the PPP, that'd be good. Are they doing deals on them yet ?

Who cares about MPG , just get out there and enjoy yourself .

But I would say my MY06 WRX uses less fuel after the PPP was fitted than before , the torque is so awesome the gear changes are so much less frequent . I have no figures because I don`t care , the smile on your face while driving is priceless.

Leave all the worry about MPG figures and the cost of petrol to the OAP`s.
Treat every day as if it is your last day on earth , because one day you will be right !.

Captain John taht is the right mentatlity to have when owning a scoob. If you're counting MPG's you can't afford to run the car

I'm amazed you managed to squeeze 55 litres in your tank - can't get more than 50 in my 05 WRX even when it's running on vapour!

Totally agree - I once had to run for a fairly long distance with the fuel light on (not by choice - caught in an unfamiliar area with no Petrol stations around) and still only managed to get about 51 litres in - I certainly wouldn't have wanted to tempt going any further.

55 litres still left a little over a gallon in the tank, so I'm supprised the car was 'stuttering'.

Bearing in mind it's a 60 litre tank from the spec sheet, you aren't running on vapour if you've only used 50. The gauge might be telling you it's completely empty, but that's not the same thing.

I have once got best part of 59L into my 02WRX (two consecutive services on the A14 were closed). At that point, it would still ticking over fine, but was just showing signs of stutering very slightly in the last mile before the (open) petrol station. Not something I'd recommend on a regular basis!
