Exclamation

I'm having problem startnig MY97 UK Scoob. When I turn they key, it sounds like the battery is flat, there a clicking noise, which sounds like a relay, which cliks on and off. After a about 20 seconds the engine starts to spin, and then starts. If I switch off, it's a starts straight away. If I leave for a few hours, the problem come back.

Any suggestions ??

Maybe your battery terminals are loose or dirty. Clean them and tighten them. Or maybe your battery is on it's way out, or your battery fluids are low.

Cheers,

Wrexy.

Probably the battery if not starter motor (motor or solenoid).

I had a prob like this on my last car, I found kicking the fuse area helped it out for a while and yes it also come back.

I had it looked at and was told it was the immobiliser, after having it stripped out we found the cause was a bit of dodgy connecting up.

Hope it helps u out.

Probably not but nevermind.

Cheers

Thanks for the advise, it was the battery, a new one fixed the problem.
