Im new!
Hello,
New member here and new impreza owner!
picked it up yesterday from sunny bournemouth,
so excited i nearly wet my pants!
Say hi, and cant wait for my first go at santa pod!

didnt expect so many replies!
i have a metalic green 4dr salon 2000 turbo,
silly question but when im out driving hard the smell of burning is strong,
this normal?
before i had a fez turbo, that smelt the same when driven hard so guessing its normal on turbo's!

Ofcouse mate! . .
Hammering = burning smell . . Sounds pretty normal to me! . .Just rememver to check yr oil level once every 1000 miles or so, and for extrapiece of mind change it every 5000 (although not strictly speaking necessary) . .
Though not too sure abt a green colour for a Scoob!

Well every one seems to have either silver or blue so thought i would go for green! works for me, and i am enjoying it alot!
my only real problem seems to be police had it 2 days pulled over 3! im 24 and look 13 so that dont help, only other problem was what seem to be a 18 year old nova driver shouting "did daddy buy it for you"
mmmmm i bit my tounge and smiled as i gurgled off, alot quicker than his nova! safe in the knowledge that i bought it and its me running it.
it dont smell no where near as bad as the fez but it is a ford!

Don't worry mate . . .I got pulled over abt 3 times in 6 months!
. . And on an occasion got searched for drugs! . .The tinted windows don't help with the image! . .Youl'l get a bit of static from people, but - best just ignore it! Too much pond life out there!
Anyhow . .Welcome again and enjoy the car!

I've got a silver MY00, never had a burning smell though, for peace of mind I'd get it checked.
I had a green MY97 before the silver one, wasn't sure when I bought it, but really liked the colour after that. As you say, it's a bit different.
