may '95 or it was when my kit car passed the sva test but i'm sure they had to be on from 1993 onwards. confused, you will be.

i'd go for 1993 just to be sure.

yep thats the one 93 on a K onwards.

but when I went for my kit car to be SVA'd it passed without a cat if it was pre May 1995? which was odd.

BUT, when it went for test they stated it must be before 1993.

an anomoli in the law me thinks

Pretty certain that an import with no UK equivilant does not need a cat until August 1995, it used to be 1996. Give your local MOT tester your VIN & reg and they'll be able to check up on the computer. I took a WRX (1993) for it's MOT last week and that needed a no cat test but my Jan 1995 GT-R Skyline did.........just keep ya fingers crossed!!
