False Laser ALerts?

False Laser ALerts?
Bought an Origin B2 a while back, mainly for the GPS based part of it. Superb piece of kit.
Anyway, wasn't going to bother with the laser bit because of the possible impending legislation change etc but decided to set it up out of curiosity.
Since setting it up noticed on a few occasions that I've had laser alerts in rural areas in remote locations without anything around in the way of vans, cars, people for miles etc. Can't understand it - could it be scatter but then it would have to be from a long way away and then it couldn't be in direct line of sight. As said before I don't rely on it but I'm more curious than anything.
Anyone else noticed the same effect?
Thanks

I have the RA1 and it does the same thing, even to the point of me driving it into my garage?? But on counrty roads etc, I think it might be where they set up a mobile camera and your Origin is just warning you THEIR might be camera, hope this helps.

I had exactly the same problem (I think), does it occur when you boot it hard?
If so get in touch with Origin and they will give you a 'suppressor' which you coil the power cable around.
Apparently the power feed to the cigarette lighter in the scoob is v dirty with lots of noise spikes

Same thing happened to me when I was running it off the *** lighter, any more that say 50% throttle and it'd go off. Called Origin and they sent out a couple of ferrite collars to help try and suppress any power spikes. It did improve it slightly but the false alerts only stopped when I hard wired it in and earthed it straight onto the chassis. Haven't had one false alert since.
