im going to a top speed run on monday and have been and bought some putoline booster and it says run between 1 and 3% depending on engine types. What % should i run in my fairly highly tuned cossy? Im running super and want to raise the octane to 98/99, how much should i use. It doesnt specify how much for different engines, neither does it tell you how much the octane rating will be increased by for certain %ages.

i know putoline can make the engine run hot (will this show on the temp gauge?) but i couldnt get millers at such short notice.

cheers for any info,

bren

don't know about 'putoline'??? have only ever used Millers or Silkline ProBoost. as effective as each other. Half can of Proboost gives about same benefit as fill bottle of millers (full can of ProBoost is even better though!! )

One bottle of millers (very easy to use) gives a c2% octane increase, will take 97 to 99. £2-£4 per bottle depending where you get it.

Octane booster is your friend he give BIG smile

Try putting in double the dose of mix, for a one off it shouldnt cause any problems and you could be looking at over 100 ron, Millers reckon that using two bottles of their Octaine Plus is ok aslong as you dont make a habit of it.....
