Question

IF tracker is only fitted in a few places how long does it take thieves to discover and remove it ?

Long before police ever stumble across it ?

Is it really worth getting fitted ?

I think this "it can only be fitted in a few places" thing is a bit of a red herring. When I had my alarm fitted, I was chatting with one of the guys about security in general, and we got round to talking about trackers ( - they installed those as well, and had apparently fitted a number to Imprezas). When I said that I'd heard that there were only a very few places in a Scoob where one could be fitted, he said that was nonsense, and that there were probably about 25 places where it could go. He named about 10 locations straight off as examples - can't remember where as I wasn't very interested in having one fitted.

This suggests that perhaps it's like alarms - it depends very much on the installer.

Just been chatting to the Tracker chap at the Motor Show. He was saying it's fitted in one of 30 different locations in the car and is disguised.

Probably not best to list 'em all on here though!
