At least the law is getting a little tougher in crushing the cars.
Wonder if they can leave the criminals in the car when they do it

I did hear right then I was starting to doubt myself

When you consider Hampshire is only one county in the country imagine what the true picture will add up to right accross now that is scary !

last time we were pulled over in the scoob (actually wife on her own) they claimed the car was coming up as uninsured..! (just an excuse for a stop IMHO) However he admitted that not all insurance companies are registered on the PNC. So HTF can they take your car based on an incomplete database..?!!!

Don't get me wrong I'm all for getting the @rses who drive uninsured etc but surely they need more than just the PNC claiming the car is uninsured..?

What makes me mad is there are area's of Birmingham (namely Alum Rock/Small Heath etc) where every other car is either dodgy (trust me I know..!) but you never see any cars being pulled because it may 'offend' someone and lead to a race riot..!

rant mode now disengaged..

jasonius i totally agree and we have the same problem down here in bromsgrove. its crap, they were forever pulling my bf over when he used have to his calibra 2.5 (well modified, looked the **** even if i may say so), but he has always been legal. on one occasion they even pulled us over when we notoced the police speeding van in a layby and waved to them as we dawdled past them at 30mph!!!!!!
but yet where we live we have prats who drive sheds around thinking they are totally roadworthy and are well safe but in reality you have gor better chance of getting about on my broomstick. and they don't stop them

WHY???????????

The prog was excellent.

the coppers had a good professional approach, and they are doing a very worthwhile job there.

cars are dangerous and some of those chavs on there needed locking up.

that gobby youth who kept calling everyone mate, made me laugh when the copper said "look, get one thing straight, i'm not your mate, i don't even know you" hahahah still makes me laugh now!!

crush them all i say.
oh, and if you carry your insurance about with you, or at least a copy hidden in the boot or something, you wouldn't have this problem 9 times out of 10.

that number plate scanner is excellent. not sure about the "battle stations" siren it emits, when finding a suspect...

good viewing, all the same

It's great theyve got the power to remove and crush a car.
However, as being a victim of police corruption, yes I was fined and given 3 points for going through a GREEN light after being stopped by a riot van stacked with 6 coppers.- I beleive the corrupt police out there will take advantage of this power.

When i was stopped I told them it was bull****, and they told me they I can appeal against it in court, however, I could also be found to have 2 bold tyres.

I know all coppers are'nt the same (my uncles 1) but theres so much corruption within the police force and it just makes me stop and think sometimes.

Won't the chav's just start knicking more cars instead of buying them if too much crushing goes on?
