I use:

And a similar free product from:

Both of these use the Subaru Select Monitor protocol which displays more information at a much quicker sample rate than normal OBD. I think these may only suit MY99 onwards.

I just got the Elm Scan 5, has anyone used it or know much about it. It's the 1st time I have used it. It was org bought to sort out my MIL cause I have a decat exhaust but the light went out the day before the tool arrived
