I can still hear my WRX 3 streets away...!!!
I dropped my car off at the garage this morning which is 'just around the corner' to have a few things on it looked at but the garage was full to its limits with cars...
I parked it on a side street (3 streets away from me)...
At about midday I heard my WRX start up... I couldn't believe that I could still hear the beautiful 'burble' from this far.
It has been said that when arriving at work, my colleugues can hear me around the corner... amazing...
Have you ever tried listening how far you can hear yours...???

I know it's probably a result of being an old git, but in my book anyone who deliberately drives around with an illegal, super loud exhaust is an anti-social idiot. Next thing you know they'll be on here bleating about how the police stopped them for no reason and then they'l go ranting on about that the boys in blue should have better things to do like catching real criminals etc. etc.
All IMHO of course
Personally I wouldn't stick a loud exhaust on my car as I often leave for work early and actually like my neighbours.

A lot of people think loud exhaust means chav but tbo its personel taste. I love the noise and am spending my money getting more of it rather than on performance which it has anyway imo.

I remember I could hear the old mans Porsche 911 a couple of streets away...and that was with a STOCK exhaust. And that sounded superb, non of this "sounds-like-a-missfire-but-not" duga-duga-duga-duga rubbish!
Nothing any modern Porsche or Scoob alike could do with a stock exhaust

I open my window a tad when I am driving through the underground car park at work (in 1st to keep to the 'walking pace' speed limit there) . Bothering other people with your exhaust by turning it up too far i.e. fitting a big bore system, isn't particuarly big or clever though. You kids'll understand when you get to my age.
