If your aware of the issue on their reputation then i wouldn't give them a second thought.
As far as i'm aware you can no longer import Type R's, one of the last was Cyprus Scooby, think thats his user name, and that was due to a technical hitch that he was one of her maj's protectors....a sqaddie, and he was stationed abroad and the car was with him.
So as reps go lies don't help.
I'm selling mine but i probably want more than your willing to pay.

I know what you mean m8. When I imported my wrx I it had loads of mods on it but i had to make it standard again to pass the SVA test once it passed I put the mods back on . But there are loads of Jap imports under 10 years old with modifications being sold by dealers that have passed an SVA test but how?

I believe one loophole is to import the car from Japan to Cyprus, which has a British SVA center, but with slightly different rules.
Can then import it from Cyprus to UK, and doesn't need a SVA here as it will already have a British SVA on it.
This is how a lot of the GTR's get imported.
(Please note this may have changed recently, but was explained to me by an importer last year)

Any vehicle registered within the EU can be registered here very simply. Therefore, if a car can be registered in Cyprus, adhering to their requirements, then it can then be registered here also. A simple bit of dishonesty is more likely of course; which would result in a 'P' registration...
