MPG Calcs are wrong
Someone posted a site that works out your mpg.
http://www.torquecars.co.uk/Tuning/u...calculator.php
Now, MY FRIEND typed in my litres used and miles done, and MY FRIEND gets different answers that what HE'D been working out. For 38.3 litres @ 139 miles, it says HE get 16.5mpg.
Now, HE'D always worked it out as 1 gal = 3.78541 litres
So 38.3 litres = 10.11779 gal
139 miles divided by 10.11779 gal = 13.7 mpg
Can someone tell me if HIS calcs are wrong, or is the site wrong
Those miles were done at mostly full throttle (hence the low figure) but if HE'S is wrong, then 16.5mpg doesn't sound so bad, as normal driving it says HE gets 20.5mpg
Who's right, MY FRIEND or the site ??
