It's a good mod to have so I'm told. I'll let you know as I'm getting mine done next week. You can only get it done at Power Station in Cheltenham.

Hi All
... had mine done on Friday, also had an Anti-lift kit fitted. Fantastic results, easier to drive, sharper turn-in, haven't managed to invoke understeer at all since.
... even seems to have 'softened' the ride a bit (it's an RA) !!
The suspension just seems to be working more effectively.
Big thanks to Dirk, Rich, Nick and Curtis.
I'll definitely be going back to Power Station.
Cheers

It's soooo cheap it's hardly worth the bother of trying it out !!
Go on - take the advice of the many who have had it done - it sharpened the turn-in substantially on my MY99 and have noticed no 'tail-happy' side effects!!
Also a good opportunity to have a few extra improvements done by guys who really know what they're up to!

Two things:-
Nimbus, no I wouldn't of thought so.
Ian, yes it's £100+ if you live local. If you come from essex you need to add on a few quid 4 petrol.
I say to try it from experience. I felt very little difference after this mod - and I have spoken with a few other members of this bbs that have felt the same. Some of these people are very experienced behind the wheel of a car.
I'm not saying it doesn't work, but surely it depends on how straight your car is in the first place.
Something else to consider,
I know of a UK Impreza that attended many track days over the last couple of years that did not have this mod done but was, consistently, one of the quickest cars on track.
IMHO too many people spend money, from comments given on this bbs, without trying them first.

I think it slightly improved my MPG
Mo, good point about try before you buy .. but: the fact that I was trashed by a blue Mini on the NurburgRing in my Scoob hardly makes the Mini a better car does it ?
I was happy with the mod, I don't think it "changes the car radically". It is one of the things you can do in the process of sorting your car out IMHO.
We were 4 people in a group who had it done last year. 3 liked it, 1 didn't like it.
As with many of these things: ultimately it is you who will decide for yourself if it works or not.

Nimbus,
I posted a question a few months ago wondering whether the bump steer mod needed to be notified to your insurance company. The concensus was *YES*, it did, as the car was being altered from its factory settings. For example, if an accident was a result of loss of control, the insurance company could quite rightly point out that the cars geometry had been modified.
Ben.
