Inlet hose cause of engine fail!!!
Yes sad to say scooby died BUT it turns out engine is ok turbo is dead though, this is how it came about. I was on a long drive so car quite hot hit an open bit of road as car came into boost very loud wineing noise but car felt fine backed off and driving ok so open up again no boost jerky throttle so went to pull over no idle, on close inspection the plastic inlet pipe had warped and made the clip that holds it to the turbo twist thus spliting the pipe but bits of it were sucked in by the turbo .
The car has a fmic which is now stripped and has been blown through with compressed air if any thing got into the inlet it has not harmed the engine as it is running fine except turbo does not spin .
Though i would share this one as its a bit wierd has anyone had or got veiws on this? OH and need a little help locating a new inlet pipe dont mind an aftermarket one if it means fitting without removing inlet manifold
