Heads up for Fifth Gear on 5 on the 17th
Props to Karma Mechanic for posting this over at Subaruforester.org but I thought this would be of interest to some of you guys as well.. 
MONDAY 17 APRIL
Interests Fifth Gear 8:00pm - 9:00pm Five VIDEO Plus+: 9100524
Subtitled Followed by five news at 9
Motoring magazine show. Jon Bentley performs a world-first crash test between a Landrover Discovery and a Renault Espace. Tom Ford tries to outrun an Arizona sheriff in Audi's monster off-roader the Q7. Paul Dalton explains why customers are queueing up to spend 5,000 for a bottle of deluxe car wax. Vicki Butler-Henderson tests two Subarus head-to-head as the Impreza takes on the Forrester. And Tiff Needell and Jason Plato race each other in two fifties-style Le Mans racers.
(Shame they still can't spell Forester !)
The two cars in question are a UK Impreza STi and a JDM Forester STi from Iain Litchfield. Who'd like to predict the outcome ?

I wonder what tune of Forester Sti they use, hopefully it will be one of Iain's with the sports pack ie a Miltek 3" Turbo back exhaust and remap which gives around 330-340 bhp and the same in torque..

The Forester STI had our original performance pack (2.75" Exhaust) with 330bhp. Apparently it poured with rain throughout the test which is a shame as it would have been interesting to see how both faired against the other cars they have tested.
Track work is hardly the Forester’s specialty but I think Vicky enjoyed it
I will have to wait as well as they would not give anything away. It was certainly enjoyed by the crew as it came back with half of Anglesea under and over it lol.
Still no damage and only a leaking I/C hose despite an obviously challenging 3 days. Cleaned up like new and back in service as my daily drive
I talked with Vicky about the Impreza’s DCCD (over the phone) and I would image with a wet track there should be some massive drifts I went to Anglesea with Evo magazine in 2004 and it’s a great circuit (video in our website gallery).
It'll be a interesting Bank Holiday weekend as we've got 2 days of the new Time Attack series with our Type 25 Race car
