Part One:
OK thought I would share this with you.
washed the car a while back, all good so far.
two jobs left , dress the tyres using turtlewax wet tyre shine and clean the windows using halfords window cleaner.
Started cleaning the windows and was wondering why it was smearing all the time. Perservered onto second window and still as bad. Horrible overspary and glass looked worse than ever.after a bout 5 mins of this, looked at the spray bottle in my hand...ahh Yup i had been trying to clean the windows with tyre shine..DOH.
Bugger to clean off and nearly had to wash the car again. Not happy but lesson learnt, both bottles look the same (spray bottle ) but tyre stuff has green top. Right, will remember that in future..file it away and resolve not to tell any of my mates my numpty error

Part Two :
Around V5 Man's house, helping him clean his car ready for his sale. Unfortunately told him about my error and had to endure an hour of raucous laughing at my expense.
(yeah yeah very funny..whatever !! )
V5 Man asks if I have any tyre shine, I say yes " Its the one with the green top " ( i remembered you see )
He then gives me a lengthy instruction on how tryes should be cleaned. Spends ages fashioning a nice brush and fills a can to paint on the tyre shine and not just spray it on. Ok i think, he's an expert (yeah right ) so let him carry on.
10 mins later, he says "mmm those tyres have gone all dull..rubbish stuff that tyre shine"
and yup you guessed it, he had painted the tyres with glass cleaner !!!!!!!!!!

LMAO, i now use colour coded cloths when i clean the car to avoid cross contamination or screw ups lol. ITs ok until you forget what cloth is what.

 

S3TH, im guessing you have big L + R letters written on your shoes too

today v5 man and I will be attempting to fit some gauges into our cars and also do the I/C tilt mod.
