I had a problem (or two) with the heater matrix puncturing & needing replacing - manifested itself as the screen misting up making driving impossible.
I'd get someone to have a look at it, as it isn't easy to spot, unless it progresses to a full blown geyser

Seems strange that it would happen with the heating on as coolant is always flowing through the heater matrix regardless of the heater being on, its probably more like you only see it on a cold day??
Are you losing any coolant as it might just be condesation on the rad?
