Car Tax
My partners car is now finally repaired after it's MOT.
Short version - Car in for MOT - CAT replaced, wrong part sent - Manufacturer took 2 days to deliver the new part - Got the car back late last night.
Car Tax was due at the beginning of this month - If she gets it today, will she still get a fine or do they allow a few days?

They won't fine you - I taxed my other car a week and a half late last month as I was waiting for new insurance docs to arrive. It's backdated to the start of the month, and I never recieved a fine.
I think what you see on TV about the DVLA issuaing instant fines is scaremongery. I don't doubt that they will eventually issue a fine, but they must allow some lee-way in case of problems.
