Default rear foglight classic

Since replacing the nasty lexus lights which came on it with sti standard ones, i am short of a rear foglight. There was a rear fog all wired in to switch to right of steering wheel. I have been trawlling a few bbs and found some suggestions, but no real conclusive answer

options :

1. Take out one reverse light and replace unit with new bulb holder and 21w bulb wired to fog switch, then put red film over reverse light.

2. Drill out a hole on rear of cluster where reflector is and put a bulb holder and 21w bulb wired to fog switch.

3. standard big chunky foglight under bumper wired to fog switch (rather not)

Has anyone done any of the above ? any sucesses with any of the above ? can someone advise how i wire up a bulb holder to switch wire, i believe an earth is needed too, any advice much appreciated.

car is type ra classic my00

thanks

I have done option 3 however, it's on a bracket so it swings up almost out of site between MOT time

brun sounds interesting although i didnt really fancy option 3, better than a 30 quid fine.
Can you possibly explain more, does it mount onto bumper itself, i really dont want to be drilling through bumper if at all helped, where is it mounted?
how did you mange to make it swing up out of way ?
how about wiring any info on that to, i have the wire coming from existing switch, only one though must be live as it was one which powered previous foglight on cluster

Yeah, i had a look how it was fitted and all you need is a steady hand with a jig-saw cutter .

I had a fog light fixed to the bumper like 90% of imports. All I did was remove the fog light feed the wire to one of the reversing lights and bought a red bulb , works a treat and it looks loads better.
