2 weeks ago while out on a drive 2nd gear went on my MY97 Uk turbo. After looking around i worked out that the easiest thing was to replace the gearbox. A local garage that deal with mostly Jap imports said they would replace the box but i would have to source one myself if i wanted a 2nd hand or reconditioned unit. I found a company on-line who would supply a box at what i consider a reasonable price £400. Phoned last monday and was told box should arrive by thursday at latest. Thursday came and no box, got on the blower and was told it was on its way but got held up in transit so it would be with me friday morning. Friday 12pm still no box, back on the phone and was told "oh we took the box off the car but did'nt drain the oil and then the oil came out in the courier wagon and they returned it as damaged goods". Now im told it will arrive sometime monday. This all sounds a little fishy to me, i also just got a reciept through the post this morning. Would u stick with it or get money back and look elsewhere?

Pay a bit more and have yours rebuilt

How did you pay? If it was by credit card can you not all the card company and stop the payment on the basis the goods have not been received.

yeah it was credit card, i'll be canceling it on monday if it does'nt arrive.
The car its on has done only 41,000mls compared to my 117,000mls.
