Default MY05 STi wider rear track ??

I have read that the MY05 STi has a wider rear track than the earlier cars, but the front track remains the same as before. How is this achieved, thru' the different hubs or the wider wheels ??

Thanks

I was led to believe that both front and rear had been widened on the 05 cars. This was because the 05 STI's have the Spec C suspension on them.

Might be wrong though.

The 'Spec C' part comes from the different front wishbones.
Even the Spec C's form '04 to '05 show only a change to the rear track.....

Front Track 1490mm
Rear Track 1495mm

All I can find is the track was increased by 15mm, don't know weather that is front, rear or both. And the wheelbase is 10mm longer.

The wheelbase is increased by the change of wishbones to the Spec-C type....I guess the rear track change must be due to the new hubs ??

Yes, AFAIK the 05s have new hubs, that's why they changed the wheels.

Going from a 7.5j to a 8j wheel (225 to 235 tyres) will effectively widen the track..?
