Default silver paint grrrrrrrrrrr

Hi all, ive just bought a door to replace mine because of a slight difference in colour, my paint code is 406 light silver so i bought one off a guy who told me his car is a 94 wrx same as mine so checked the paint codes online and subaru for that year were all 406. Now when i got the door the handle was black, mines all silver ??? and guess what....its the bloody same colour.

ps: mine is 94 but with 95 spec...but should all be same colour up until 98

Helpppppppppppppppp

Bob

ummmmm afraid not all door handles were colour coded...
(in fact not sure they were at all from factory standard on the early years).

here's a thought ...how about phoning a breakers, there must be a few with loads of silver doors...ask how much for a handle...
probably be cheaper than spraying yours !!
( i take it , it was only the handle that was different ?)

oh and ask them if they want to do a deal on the spare door

Wink 406 Definately

Bob
I will be stripping my 95 JAP WRX
If you want a door let me know.
Where abouts are you?
I live near Gatwick Airport if you think its worth a drive to me with your car?
Because its a Jap car the handles are already painted silver on mine, the UK cars are still the original black.
Kev.
