Default Which decat downpipe?

Im sure this has probably been covered before.....BUT.....im looking to get a decat downpipe, and wondered if there is any difference between different brands? different types?
Which downpipe is considered to be the "best"?

I have a thread running on centre decats and somebody responded with a price for a decat down pipe at an astonishing 550 quid. That made me think

Yikes! I recently bought a Scoobyworld Ninja Sports Cat for £299. Quality kit, gave good power with my Tek3 remap too (MY00).

Hayward & Scott have produced a down pipe with a 100 cell high flow road legal cat yielding only a 2 BHP loss over a de-cat pipe. And this WILL sail through the MOT without bolting & unbolting centres & pipes & resonators etc etc.

There was a Group Buy on H&S exhausts recently that kept the prices down so I treated myself to this little lot :-

Hayward & Scott 100 cell high flow down pipe

H&S Up pipe

H&S Centre pipe straight through

I already have the short section from the PPP & the Backbox.

This was followed by a Tek3 re-map with Pat Herborn to get everything flowing nicely. And here are the amazing results for my WRX Stealth Wagon. The H&S plumbing was collected & fitted the same day by Xtreme at Boreham.Nice one guys.

Then came some re-mapping wizardry by Pat.He is THE man.

Before

After

Overlay

290bhp up from 252bhp

275lbft up from 263lbft

Boost 1.3bar up from 1.2bar.

I am a happy bunny

And it passed the MOT last week with no fuss or drama.

Hayward & Scott are regarded as the daddies.

They produce exhausts for the likes of Aston Martin, Ferrari and Bugatti

That's good enough for me
