Default HELP NEEDED TONIGHT!

anybody tell me what i need to do to get the cel light on my 94 wrx import to flash,telling me why its come on?
heard something about connectors under steering wheel or something?
tryed search and couldnt really find anything,any help would be massively welcomed as car has sat on drive now for 4 days
but please explain thouroughly!
sorry,not really that clued up on subarus!!!!!
put tesco 99 in it and within a mile of driving the cel was coming on for a minute,going off for 2,,,....and so on
car is usually run on optimax....could it be the tesco?

Thanks for the info guys........but now i have the problem of
CODE42 IDLE SWITCH
CODE45 PRESSURE EXCHANGE SOLENOID VALVE
CODE22 KNOCK SENSOR
CODE24 IDLE AIR CONTROL SOLENOID
CODE31 THROTTLE SENSOR
these are the order in which the cel gave them to me.
will i need to reset the ecu now,because the ecu may be remembering them from past?and been fixed?
when i went to the car before and started it,there was no light,and as mentioned the car is behaving perfectly when driving.Its just that the cel light came on for intermittently on my last journey(5 miles),never done this before.
anyway,reset?and go from there? cheers
or wallet time?

I would re-set the ECU and monitor it for a while. The ECU will store old faults.

cheers ,will do
what a b****rd of a job it is to try and get the black connectors apart,while hanging upside down on your drive with no torch

sorted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111
reset it and the cel was then flashing 0.5 sec blips continously!!!!meaning OK?(I HOPE)
