Default how much power is available from my06 jdm sti?

how much power can you get out of the jdm sti???? is the jdm sti 2.5 or 2ltr? is it still seen the jdm sti to be a better car than the uk one? dont care about warranties and stuff, have been in evoland for ages so bit confused with that is going on here now so basically which is best car for modifying, and what power is available? and which tuning companies are offering what deals for how much...

is 400/400 possible yet? or is it still around 360/360 ish??

thx

have a black evo 9 gt 400bhp to sell if anyone is interested

I was under the impression the jdm my06 sti was still a 2.0 can anyone confirm? and if it is the 2.0 then 400/400 is possible but will cost a bit of cash mate, your best to talk to andy forrest, he'll tell you exactly what you need

It is around 360/360 relatively easily, more will start to cost. I suggest you talk to Iain Litchfield on 01684 850999 for the details.

2.0 ltr JDM is still much better than UK spec, even when the UK car is now 2.5 ltr.

there is always one, i was trying to avoid this argument, ive already got a 400bhp car not really too fussed but you had to but in, i didnt mention wanting 400bhp, i said OVER 400bhp, but thanks for your input, would prefer input from anyone who can read, i dont care or am not interested in standard spec c thanks, oh yea and thanks for the heads up on the search, never realised  been there done that, just thought id ask people what they think, always lovely people like you on these forums, no wonder newbies dont hang around eh

Jason, FYI Rannoch is very knowledeable when it comes to Subaru's having run a V5 prior to his newage Spec C at over 550 BHP, I think you took his comments the wrong way and are quite frankly out of order. You really need to chill these days......

Its the same engine as was in your JDM STi that you had, nothings really changed, they wouldnt be reliable at "over" 400hp compared to your Evo.

conrad, i think your still bitter mate, and im simpy replying to the comments, actually asked for this to be avoided, not to be told to use the search function, i dont care if the guy is knowledgable or not, no harm in having manners is there, and i dnt think for 1 second i was out of order, hows that like??

no harm in asking questions is there, if you dont know the answer, no need to chirp up to be honest, a simple yes or no or not yet or whatever is a very simple way of asking, no wonder people take these places the wrong way, no need for it

Jason, I'm not bitter at all mate, not in my nature and there is certainly nothing to be bitter about, pm me if there is lol. The tone of your reply was uncalled for but if your happy speaking to people in that manner who are merely trying to help then thats up to you mate.

Conrad, i think you will find my first replies were pleasant and trying to avoid confrontation about dyno figures and bhp of whatever cars, being told to use the search function is a response newbies receive from grandiose board members who cant be arsed answering questions.

Rannoch, reading back ur right, i did ask if anyone has 400/400 and what it takes to get that, so fair point...

i also asked further on, for people running over 400/400 if you know where threads are located then rather than suggesting the search, perhaps a link would be nice, or even what to search for, as i have indeed searched a few terms and not found any project cars, but there are so many results also its hard, as i dont have an endless supply of time, i presumed board members would be helpfull locating information.

I have already spoke to Andy F and have some better ideas, but still interested in more reading

thanks

not sure what im doing yet, just sick of the colour of my current car lol, and cant find another one quickly enough, and to be honest, yes i think 350 for an out of the box spec c is a tad optimistic, i think they are doing a little more than 'uk fuel' remap to get to that figure, but like i did also say earlier, didnt wanna get into this debate, been done to death, could be just different dyno figures...and i appreciate ur input and know already that a spec c is the best base for a big power car i was on here years ago talkin about it also, but things may have changed eh?

Jason you were so busy worrying about my inflated dyno figures that you seemed to have missed the four links that I posted to places were there is a huge amount of information for JDM STis producing over 400bhp.

Sorry you missed them.
