Default Sunroof

I have a sunroof om my MY00 wagon. but whats the point?!! when its open i get such noise whistling from it i cant even hear the radio!! so ive never used it!!?? Is this a normal thing? ive read threads about people moaning about crap sunroofs but nobody seems to mention the noises like im gettin?!!

Mine makes a noise over 40 mph but then I slide it to the tilt position and open the rear window an inch for balanced airflow. If you are in Jersey then you cant go over 40 mph anyway

im in guernsey and i cant go over 35mph!!!!!!!! it makes noise at about 25 and above! (depending on the wind of cause!) ill have to try the window open trick if that might work?!

I has the Electric one in my STI TYpe R and it was fine. If you full open it all the way up, you got a bit of resonnance noise, but if you closed it an inch, it went away.

On tilt, I had no noise what-so-ever.

no the window trick didnt work, still whistling away as i drive?! has anyone else had this problem? it is so noisey it genuinely cant be ised as is. anyone help??

I do have roof bars on but im sure the whistle was there before i put them on.

even on tilt i get it. as soon as it is open at all it makes noise.

Ive got a sunroof on my scoob, but i dont get any extra noise than if i had a window open.
Its a bit lazy some days and i have to help it to start though

cant work out what is wrong with mine. gonna try removing roof rack tomorrow. but as i said im sure it isnt that.....??

.......or a week later?!! i took of roof rack yesterday and guess what? Problem solved, i guess sunroof was pushing wind up onto bars. Should have guessed all along really!! Anyway at least if anyone else has the problem they can read this!!

Mines noisy - I just use the stereo to drown it out though...
