Default Possibly the stupidiss question ever asked

Apoligies for spelling and apoligies for asking this question !!

just fitted boost gauge with slightly thicker rubber hosing than the standard hose they provide.

and i think its effected the turbo kick i get when i stamp on the throttle in 2nd

usually i floor 2nd at 1500rpm/2000rpm the power builds slowly then walllllooopp at 2900rpm

now i get just get a smooth power build all the way to 6k rpm

My silly thoughts are im bleeding to much air or whatever goes through my bigger hoseing and the turbo now cant react quick enough ?

As i said, probably the stupidiss question ever asked

i miss my kick at 2900rpm !

my other sill thoughts led me to try............

ecu reset (battery for 2 hours)
testing at same outside temp (colder air, dense, improved spooling)
ensuring weight in car was the same

only thought is that i have had eibachs fitted recently and geo/tracking etc
and i thought that if its less springy then it might effect my kick at 2900k

not sure if im nuts or if i may have a point ?

As long as you have no leaks in the system, the wall thickness of the tubing will have no effect at all. It is a closed system and the increase in overall volume is so small, nothing should change. If the bore diameter of the tube is large, you may need a restrictor in the tube (or a small tie wrap tightened on the outside) to control any needle flutter. Aim for the minimum bore size that will still give full needle deflection.
