Default Advice on LSD

Im looking at a scoob that has had a Limited slip diff fitted, it is being described as :

The car feels bindy when going round corners.

the "bindy" feeling is strange one to describe, it only happens when i'm pulling away around a corner, like if i was parked between 2 cars, and swinging out, its as though the car is trying to bounce out rather than driving.

Any ideas as to if it has a problem or is this normal, Ive never had a scoob with LSD before??

Mine is exactly the same. On a very tight radius turn the diff is trying to lock up and so the wheels are literally bouncing along.

With the diff fully open it would not do it.

Sounds like the diff is locking prematurely. A fully open diff will always allow the outside wheel to turn faster than the inside one, but if an LSD locks then it will force the wheels to revolve at the same rate giving the effect you describe. You probably need to get someone to look at the diff as it sounds like there is something wrong.

Don't give into peer pressure, drugs are bad!..

Sorry couldnt resist!

I would say that sounds more like a locked front diff than an LSD. A decent viscous LSD should not be locking at a low speed like that.

I think we need to clear up which diff it is!

Is it a DCCD-A, DCCD or LSD car?

And it is not just RAs that had DCCD or DCCD-A. Import STis, Spec Cs, Type Rs, a whole bunch of cars have them.
