Question

I picked up a bottle of "Classic Super Plus" in a French hypermarket recently. It was the equivalent of only £1.90 for a 375ml bottle.

I'm wondering if it is Octane Booster in disguise: The following was gleaned from the back label:

Super Plus is an additive for injection and carburettor petrol engines. It is suitable for exhaust catalysts.

Benefits:
1. Avoids "l'encrassement du circuit d'alimentation" - probably means that it cleans the injector nozzles.
2. Lubricates the valaves and cylinder head
3. "Assure le rendement optimal du moteur" - probably means that it guarantees the optimum output from the engine.

So, is it octane booster in disguise, and do you think it's a safe bet to add it at my next fill-up?

Dave

The stuff you're talkming about sounds more like an engine cleaner than an Octane booster.

Cool

Sounds like some sort of injector/head/carb cleaner to me. I'll ask a friend who's in the trade if he's heard of it.

Same friend gets me Millers octane booster at cost price, £2.40 a bottle.

Cheers
Lee

Don't think £2.40 is 'cost'. I get it for £20 for 10 bottles. Couldn't possibly say where though

Come-on Gary tell-us were you get your booster at that price, you never know you might get a bigger reduction for passing trade on, or maybe buy it through you at a small profit to your self of course. Rik
