Default dump valves

hi, new here. if i was to prevent the dump valve on my 94 wrx from oprating, will i get more power?

yeah only about an extra 70 bhp or something though...only joking...you cant just prevent it but a dump valve doesnt give any more power...

You would also risk damage to the turbo. As the purpose of the dump valve is to release boost when the throttle is closed thus preventing the turbo stalling with the risk of damage.

No. Outright power isn't affected by the dump valve at all. But turbo response will be so you'll get more lag between gears with the dump valve inoperative.
