60K service
Hi there scooby owners!!
My car is going in for its 60K service but wanted to know what is carried out & what I should expect to pay for this.
At that mileage should I be looking at anything specifically for wear and tear?
What should I expect to pay? Also is better to go to a specialist?
I've got a 97 V4 Type that has had its engine rebuilt in its life.
Thanks in advance
Esh

On a 60K service almost everything is changed including all the fluids, cambelt possibly too. Main dealer prices can be between £400 and £600 depending where you go and how much you haggle over price.

I was quoted £415 for the 30,000 mils plus another £185 for the cam belt if i wanted this done.So i would say you would be looking at near £600 than £400 myself.
welcome to scooby ownership.

I mentioned it could be from £400 as recently had a 60K service and cambelt change done at my local Subaru dealer on a MY00 T2000 for that price. Was going to charge £600 but when I mentioned I could get same service done by a Subaru specialist they brought the price down from £600 to £400.

I've got a Type r.
I won't take it to dealer. I've booked it in with Xtreme Scoobies in Essex.
I've been quoted just over £400 for the C service. I've heard nothing but good reports about these guys. The engine was rebuilt about 10k miles ago so it'll be minus the cam belt.
Is circa £400 the standard price for a C service?
I found this on the net for anyone who wants info on the service schedule.
