exactly that, from what I can see imprezas are dull, ugly, slow and not particylarly well built. and as for that latest thing wow. I think I prefered the Alegro vandan plas.
When I was a kid only farmers drove them. and it looks like sheep are the only things that folloew them now.

Hi, thanks for the deep and meaningful insight.
I drive mine cos it's the only thing that'll carry a family, a dog, and do trackdays. It also has excellent support through the dealers and comminuties such as this, where MOST of the members have something useful to offer and contribute fully.
Have a nice day,
Simon.

I have just left a young man crying in the lancer register, because someone, (no names) has said that his car is slow. I had to do the honourable thing and tell you guys exactly what you need to know. and that is..all of the above. no liable just hard facts.
I may not be able to spell Allegro, but i can use punctuation.
Thanks for listening

I usually don't get involved in this stuff coz they are just sad, lowlives trying to get a rise out of people but in this case...
No actually I've changed my mind, I won't lower my self.
Well done mate, super post, well constructed views.
Come back regularly, we love people like you.

Never owned a Scoob - once thought about a P1 and that's as far as it went. But what has happened to the latest incarnation. Give me Mitsubishis finest any day and that includes Ants SEVEN. At least he was brave enough to "have a go" more tham most of you sheep lovers and the rest of us!

Obviously not....definitely back to school for you

To be honest, I'm struggling to make sense of some of your sentences, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that English is not your first language. Either way, I think I can make out the general gist of what you are trying to say.
"Dull" and "Ugly" are obviously personal opinions so I won't try and persuade you otherwise, however it would be interesting to know exactly which Subaru you are referring to and what you are comparing it against?
“Not particularly well built” (I assume that’s what you meant? Don’t worry too much, there are quite a few syllables in there to cope with isn’t there?). This should be far easier for you to quantify, so just out of interest, what were your research references? JD Powers?
Anyway, to briefly sum up why I bought an Impreza WRX . I wanted AWD for the winter months, but the handling of a car as opposed to an SUV. I also enjoy the performance (acceleration, braking and cornering), which is above that of the average vehicle on the road, certainly those that are in the same price range.
Does this answer your question?

Steve,
Judging by his comment:
...you could be forgiven for mistaking one for the other... What is it imawhatshisface says a lot?, stuff like, "No War, just truth/facts"....hhmmmmm....anybody else smell one???
My usual advice, just ignore him and he'll go away - Nicely constructed reply BTW Simon.
Matt
P.S. BTW Rob - to answer your question, it fitted my criteria.

Whoever is the head chimp out of this evo lot, should grab the rest of his chimplets and swing back onto their own forum, where they can talk whatever cr@p they like and might actually be wanted.
You sad monkeys, go back and play with your own filth, instead of trying to mess up ours!
Nick
P.S. You are the stinkiest chimp, goodbye.
Edited to say that I didn't mean the good EVO guys that are normally on here, just the pecker newbies that have come to annoying.

With regards to the first derogative comments, all your own opinion. I respect that. We get more MPG though. HA! Stick that in your pipe and smoke it.
Oh yes, the Great Mr Clarkson described the looks of the Evo VI 'as though some one had ram-raided Halfords and all the body accessories fell of the shelves and attached themselves to it'.
Some one elses view of the car you like.
TROLLS, you just can't get rid of them.

Yes I think you do get more MPG and we have to buy SUL (maybe something to do with lower bhp, as bhp = more fuel burnt). I cannot deny Clarksons comments either - but he did like the car as well.
As you have all been trying to say - we all buy what we perceive to be the best AWD 276bhp car. Trouble is Subaru don't make a 276bhp car at the moment, which left me with little choice. As I said previously, I liked the P1, but the new model coming along so soon after its launch - I thought would make finacial suicide purchasing a P1 Scoobe. Yes I planned to swop my VI for a P1. and I honestly think that all Jap AWD cars a depreciating extremely fast at the mo!
To be honest, I don't like the new Scoob OR the VII. So yes I will disappear off to another board - maybe a BMW M3 board or ZT385 board.

No sense no feeling! If he had any, sense that is , he`d go and buy a dictionary while he was down Smiths trawling the " go faster books "
Mind you in saying that he probably wouldn`t know how to use one!!

People buy them becuase they are good cars. Dull and ugly ? Compared to what, Sure they are not great looking cars but not ugly. They do sound great. I looked at an Evo VI but it was too ugly even for me and sounded like a washing machine. The Skyline was too big and impractial for me. Maserati Ghibli was just to costly to run and i considered a marcos LM500 or TVR Cerbera but the Scoob was agreat mix of performance , reliabiity and fun. Oh and the Subaru dealer was 500 yards from my front door whcih did make a big difference.

BlueEvo,
My post is meant to be very tongue in cheek, left out some smilies. DOH! I like the Evo 6, BlowDog had / has a Mak edition great car. I prefere the Scoob though.
Just don't see the point of some of the trolls we've got at the mo comming to this board and slagging off Scoobs. I personally slag BM's all the time, just don't go to their BBS and do it.
Opinions are like *** holes, every one's gottem.

Rob VI,
"When I was a kid"? err - you still sound like one. Not sure if the VI refers to your age, braincells or IQ.
Dull and slow? All I can say is anytime you're ready - Track or strip - your choice.....
Yeah, i may have spent a bit on my car (similar to a Warrender "340hp" EVO lol) - but then I get results.
"340hp" EVOs don't.
Wonder why?
'Cos they're not?
Not to worry - you lot believe
