Just wondered if anyone had any more info on the new book about modifying & improving your Impreza that was rumoured to be coming out soon?

I thought it was to be published by Haynes, but I couldn’t find any trace on their website and am still waiting for their sales office to get back to me.

I guess some of the folks who frequent ScoobyNet might have had some input into such a book?

Haynes, now have the book in stock. And it is 17.99 with free uk delivery. Due to membership of another club I can get 15% discount which would make it 15.29 (cheaper than amazon after adding del.).

If anybody local to me (Notts \ Derby) would like a copy let me know and I can add copies to my order (by 11:00 tomorrow (15th)).

Pointers and hints dropped to a couple of family members with instructions to talk to each other so I don't end up with 5 copies!

If you cant get it from Amazon why not try Duke videos and there is also 2 books on the Scooby you can buy in japanese performance mag and they are called Subaru Impreza Turbo ltd edition extra road tests 1994-2001 (£12.95) and Subaru Impreza Turbo unique motor (£9.95). The ltd edition book has just come today and is full of black and white road tests on the car, some ive seen but most of them i havent and the book seems really good.

What about for the MY01? I noticed that the book deals with the older turbo, has the newer model changed that much in the engine department? If not i'll buy the book.

It's only taken them 7 years to release a Haynes manual for the old Impreza, so expect one for the MY01 in 2008.

Anyone explain why it's taken sooooooo long??
