There are a few owners on here, but the best place to look for help is http://legacy.manxforums.com/forums/index.php?act=idx.
We are a very friendly bunch, and own a wide variety of Legacy's, I personally own a 1999 GT-B (saloon version of B4 if you didn't know).

Hi,yes I have had one for 18 months.
Imported new to the uk from new in 2000.
Run mine on 97 octane no probs.
Sorry can't help on the Irish angle(not the first time you've heard a Brit say that )

Well done for not being a sheep.
Check out http://legacy.manxforums.com/forums/
