try a bit of paint stripper just a small dab on something out of sight if it works your laughing and if it melts it your not then you know you have to sand . allso be aware paint wont stick to plastic without a proper plastick primer (can be bought in aerosols from most paint mfrs)

paint
Just had my m8 do the plastic covers on my new morette headlight,s and also new sti bonnet scoop . he owns his own paint shop and i asked him about what is needed to paint plastic,s. he said it has to have like an acid etch done on the plastic first so that the paint bonds properly, he said if plastic already painted do not to use paint stripper on it, best use a low grade wet and dry and buff the paint down before painting again
