HELP!! Quick easy answer if possible??
hi about to take off (before it gets too dark!!) my front orange wedge vent things and colour code them.
Can i drive with them off or do i risk damage to anything?? ie what is behind them?!!
I wanna take them off and start doing them, but i know later i have to pop out and it is pissing down and filthy roads!!

Doubt anything will happen,
Remember that they are actually painted orange and when you strip them back they should be black plastic

yeh im stripping them as we speak. then gonna colour code them. I jave dark blue classic so no point in leaving them black i figure might as well give them a lick. does in need a clear laquer on top??

i think if my car was a light colour ie silver or white or something i think your right black would be the way to go. but on a darker car colour......who knows!! i can always strip em back and start again!! lol

what is 'flat' black? does it mean matt like some trim?......hmmm.......well ive started colouring them now!! lol. nah im set on colour for now, might try black if im not sure!!

To be pedantic it was like an eggshell black, not shiney and not dull flat black. Bought from Halfrauds or such. I plastic primed the 'vents' and then painted them with a few coats. I plastci primed them as i jet washed the car and wanted the paint to stick - and stay stuck.

I didnt strip mine back .... undercoated, top coated and then laquered them! 
Not so keen on black .... would either colour code them or (as long as you have "de-tangoed") go silver as above!!
