That sounds like a reasonable starting point to me. I paid £9800 for a 2001 WRX last May but the prices have dropped a little since. Mine didn't have the extra goodies that yours has though, so ~£9k seems a fair asking price, with room for someone to haggle a bit off.

Edit: Mine had the same mileage, was standard and was also pretty much spotless inside and out.

Local dealer offered me 9.5k for my MY02 WRX.
It had tracker, sti spoiler, Morrette's so this might have added a couple of quid onto the valuation.
Car went onto the dealers forecourt for 12450 and was sold within a week!
Nik.

In all fairness Monty Baber AKA Craig, isnt anti-scoob, he`s had the misfortune of having to sell his.
Dealers are only offering me 7k for my 01 WRX bugeye with 55K in WR blue. That includes cat1, tracker, 18s, STi spoiler and much much more.

I would say that 9k is a fair starting point - don't accept less than 8k for it.

I bought my black 51 WRX in november last year for just under £10K so you should get around £8.5 - 9K on a private sale

Maybe I was a bit harsh and it certainly was'nt meant to upset anyone, I was just talking with the bitter experience of selling my bugeye still hanging.I certainly am not anti-scoob, very pro-scoob TBH in partcular Bugeyes this was mine I unfortunately had to put mine up for sale last year and after spending thousands on it fully expected it to sell for at least 10k, I put it on Pheads, autotrader, local papers, here, SIDC etc etc and had no response.

I dropped the price to 9k and still nothing which had me worried so I then approached a Subaru dealer and a Renault dealer about trading in and was offered £6500 max ( I maybe could have got more by shopping around).

I finally dropped the price to 8k and got some interest and sold it for just under that figure, I had a full years Subaru approved warranty still to run (which had cost me a fortune to renew) as well as Morettes, STI spoiler (genuine) CC'd skirts, STI wheels (brand new with RE070's) scotts mud flaps, carbon fibre afterburner exhaust, DRM front splitter, etc etc which i'd have thought would have added a few £ to the value.

I know that the thread originators car is a year newer etc but I have seen standard models for sale at garages for 8/9kJust being realistic, good luck with the sale and I hope you get what you want, all it takes is the right person to come along

(Oh and thanks Cliff, good to see you still have your lovely motor)
