New Battery required

After 2 1/2 years the battary on my Sti V5 has bit the dust. Do I just get any new replacement or is there something special I should look for? Im based in portsmouth, if location is a factor.

I know we sell them, but why not get a Unipart Sampson battery, they are guaranteed for life, or as long as you keep the car - you can lose.

Hi,
Went through the battery saga recently on my UK car (it must be the same on the STi).
Subarau: wanted 80/90 squids
Halfords: wanted 80/90 squids and it was special order
Halfords: sell a Legacy battery off the shelf for £49-99.
This is slightly more powerful but has the same dimensions/fittings.
Bracknell batteries: told me 'about 40 squid' but I never got the impression he had checked it properly and I'd get a bill for 60 when I picked it up....
I finally got it through a friend - who had a friend in the 'trade'. Paid 30 squid... hee hee.
